This piece was related to the drama going on in my friendship group - hearing different 'sides' to the same story. This and the other paintings in the similar vein really helped with what I was going through; by putting them down and releasing the issues I was having internally. Whether or not people viewing the work could see this within the piece wasn't really important - I find that creating these characters and putting them into the scene; drawing from a strong emotion within myself really sets a strong aesthetic for the piece. While at the time it was a bit more on a sub-conscience level, I can now look back and identify where I was at and where I was coming from in the piece.
