I remember painting this when a lot of personal stuff was going on within my friendship group - basically splitting the group in two. This painting was basically my emotional drain being put straight onto the canvas; I was over it all. This was portraying one of my characters sighing with his tongue out. He'd had enough to point all he could do was stick his tongue out and groan. This was the first where I set out to produce a lot of the pieces for the show using this colour palate. A lot of the colours would appear in almost all the other pieces and I think it helped pull the entire show together.
