This piece was one of the final pieces for the show - I painted it on a very hot day in January. It was a better idea in my head, I unfortunately did not execute it as well as I would have liked. It was too messy for me at the time - looking at it now I can see I nailed some good form in the character and it was probably the background & foreground that was a hindrance to the total aesthetic. With way to much going on in the front and back of the piece - the character isn't allowed to command the work. Might give this idea another go soon.
